Hayling Island is surrounded by Chichester Harbour, Langstone Harbour and the Solent and is reached by a road bridge from Havant, with good road, motorway and rail connections. The island is shaped like an upside down "T" about 5 miles across with a population of some 18,000. The Island is noted for having a relatively unspoilt, leisurely, village atmosphere and for it's 5 mile seafront of sand, shingle and unspoilt common.

The weather is generally mild and always near the top of the sunshine league. Hayling is the ideal base for a family holiday, being within easy touring distance of Portsmouth, flagship of Maritime England, the New Forest and the South Downs.

Hayling Island offers plenty of opportunities to make the most of your leisure time having pubs, restaurants, amusements, bingo, a funfair and snooker clubs as well as offering many sporting activities such as swimming, sailing, windsurfing, golf, squash, tennis, sea fishing, riding and walking.
